Anyone have a preferred way to carry a bike? I'm thinking something along the lines of a Seasucker rack. I'd prefer the rack be easily removable as not consist of mounting a rail to the roof.

I reckon that your best bet would be to look at the availability of a folding bike. Whatever way you try and carry a bike ON a 500, it is going to 'spill over the edge'!

Hi have a look at the;
Saris Gran Fondo 2 Bike Cycle Carrier

They are a bit expensive, cheapest one I found is at Halfords. They hold 2 bikes between the rear lights north south mounted, like ski racks. With a bit of application you might get this to fit your 500. It has suction cups for body and glass and long straps and hooks a plenty.
