Anyone able to shed some light on how to replace a choke cable? I believe there may be an access cover on the tunnel just in front of the rear seat? I presume I need to pull out the carpet to get to the cover?
I'm not quite sure what the problem is but the choke can no longer be opened fully as the engine warms. It's possible to close the choke - but it can't be opened. The cable hasn't become disconnected nor broken completely - but I'm going to need to get access to it to find out what the issue is..
Any suggestions welcome!

I did this the night before Brooklands this year!
Process is:
Disconnect battery
Seats out
Carpet up from the rear to expose the rear tunnel hatch and remove hatch cover
Unbolt seat belt buckles and remove
Carpet up more to expose the choke and starter lever mount plate, release plate to expose cable ends
Unclip choke cable
Unbolt choke cable at carb
Jack rear of car up and PUT ON AXLE STANDS
Lying under rear of car take note of cable routing, then feed the cable forwards into bulkhead
When cable is clear of gearbox etc hop into cabin and pull the cable out.
To fit new, feed new cable down tunnel from inside and through the relevant hole and pop back under the car to route around gearbox.
A second pair of hands saves a few trips under the car(y)
