Can someone please help me with the wiring arrangement on the rear of the dashboard mounted external light switch. I needed to renew this item because the lever disappeared into the body of the switch. On the rear are three wires, black (live), green (side lights/parking), white (headlights). There are three terminals on the rear of the switch.
As I understand things, assuming that the steering column lever is in the uppermost position, when the dashboard switch is turned on the sidelights/parking bulbs illuminate. When the column lever is lowered to its middle position, the dipped headlights come on, and in its lowest position, fiull beam illuminates. Is this correct?
If so how should the switch be connected to achieve this arrangement.
Thanks
