I can't see any reason why not. These are meant to be good pumps.

Electronic fuel pumps needed to be kept wet/ flooded. Because of this they are mounted as near the supply as possible.
I had one fitted in the engine bay of my Fiat 124 spider Abarth and it kept failing. (3 times)
Three rivnuts and a piece of wire later it never failed again.
So mount it under the bonnet with a prefilter and regulator and all will be good.

That makes sense, pity.
