My kids school holiday program had an Italian theme so I popped in with the 500 and I lost count how many squeezed in.... one kid said this is the coolest car in to world.
In my 'yoof', as a young apprentice at the local M/Benz garage, I ran a 'suicide door' 500---the record was 7 going TO a party, but we (funnily) could never get the same 7 in coming BACK from the party!---4 in the back, 2 in the front passenger seat and me driving--good days!
That is more LandRover territory, we always piled into a Fiat 124, or Hillman imp to go to parties. "Fiat 500 people carrier", it does still amaze me that 500cc can move all of my family at near 60 MPH on a dual carriageway, only concern is if there is a problem, my wifes car has 9 air bags, so you could walk away from a prang in that. A small shunt in a Fiat 500 could be an issue.
But perhaps the fact that it is light weight could help, I will keep telling myself that.
I always tell friends that having a smaller car means the people who would otherwise have hit you if you were in a larger car have a little bit more space to avoid you?
This is not quite a selfie (roofie?) but a shot of our 'passengers' at the moment as we drive around Italy. We certainly notice the weight between locations
One of the problems in driving the 500 is that you're inviting overtakers. In my case that has attracted a fair number of stone chips.
Here's a selfie reflection of me looking
at a biggish one that I heard as the stone hit the driver's wing today.
