General Global Round Up!!!

Geraint aka dragonwagon circa '67 RHD resto project bought very cheaply some time ago but house rebuild postponed start date more than somewhat. Body largely done by previous owner to an uncertain standard, non running (650 reputedly installed), possible synchro box (to be binned) and odd mixture of 500 & 126 hubs. Most bits present I believe. Plenty of 500 previous - this will be my third and second rebuild.
May start from scratch just to see what is actually in there .... must be a glutton for punishment.
Ohhh...no registration document either....

Hi All

I thought it about time I listed my fleet on here too.

2 x 1960 500D's, bought sight unseen from a guy in New Plymouth, New Zealand. One had been 'restored' by the previous owner, then two weeks later his wife drove it into a tree. He bought the second to get the parts off it to do a repair but never got around to it. As it turns out restored is not the right word to use. I think he had shares in a fibreglass factory.

2 x 1961 500D's. I bought these from a dude in Masterton, NZ again sight unseen because one had a reconditioned engine and gearbox. Reconditioned must mean something different in the North Island because when I drained the gearbox oil a gear tooth fell out.

1960 Giardiniera. I had never seen one of these for real until I went to pick this one up. It had been sitting in a field for about 10 years and pretty much everything from a foot down will need to be replaced. While I was vacuuming the crap out I flipped the passengers seat forward and most of the floor came with it. It is all repairable though. The build of this car puts it in the first year of production of this model.

Another two 500D cars and a second Giardiniera came as a job lot. I am not sure what years these are yet. All are stripped for restoration and one the cars has most of the body work done with just the metal finishing to go.

Sounds like you have a few restoration projects lined up. That's a lot of work and money required. Does the wide know?
