I can see it.
Not sure they have the description right for the F with nudgebars on though.
Jolly?
nice pic of the 500D interior, often wondered where those bolster pads went.

Looks like the F has gone to the great scrapyard in the sky, last taxed in 1994.(n)

But the D is still with us and currently taxed and MOT'd.

Is that D some derivative of the 500 as it seems to have a different main badge and has an extra badge on the front but I can't make out what it says. Also why is it on a G plate 1968. That is a few years after they were last made.

I must be bored this evening so I will answer my own question after a bit of research. It is a Autobianchi Bianchina Giardiniera, at first glance I didn't notice it was the estate version in the picture.

Apparently they were sold in the D version by Autobianchi as late as 1977 or 78. All I can imagine is they must have bought a load of them up when Fiat were still producing the D and then stored them until they added their touch to them to sell them on???? That RHD one must be very rare.

Chris, will try to do that over the weekend and a bit neater. There was also a facsimile of a review by "The Motor" when the car was first produced which I can include. I also have a Practical Motorist review from about 1960.

Hmm, copyright, I had thought of that...too late now!!!!!

Ahh- memories! I remember buying this magazine back in 1990 when I was just 6 months into ownership of my first 500. Interestingly for those down-under is that one of the pictures (500D Page 28) is in fact from the New Zealand brochure and shows the Auckland Harbour Bridge in the background- how this ended up in a British magazine I have never managed to work out....! Sadly 'Your Classic' magazine seemed to have the longevity of an Alfasud parked on a beach so I doubt that copyright will be a major problem..

Looks like a few of them had the pages torn out ...

As an aside, I've attached a couple of photos the left hand sill of my current project. It was very rusty, Italian though not an Alfasud. After a lot of work the body is now rust-free and ready for primer.
