Just purchased these used vintage FPS alloy wheels located in Germany. They are 4.5 in wide. I plan to put 135/80r12 tires on them.
I really like the style of these wheels. Shipping to me without the tires (which are old).

If they are magnesium alloy, not aluminium alloy be very wary of internal corrosion in the castings. Crack testing might be a good investment.

Hi John

I have fitted 145 - 70R x 12 to my 12" aluminium rims. If you want to see how they fit in terms of clearance, this web site is very good for comparisons between different tyre rim combinations:

Also here are some shots of how they look with 145's, very cool I think?

Looks very nice Hugh. It looks like you are running the stock suspension height? Do you have any rubbing in the front or rear with the 145/70R12's? Did you have to roll your fender lips?
Here is a better tire and wheel size calculator. More information and you can input wheel size, width, and offset.

Hi John

Thanks for the web site, the new alloy rims at 4.5 with the 145 tyre was chosen as they didn't increase the overall diameter of the set up at all and the suspensions is stock. Mind you, when I restored the car the shocks and transverse spring were brand new and she looks to ride a little high, but that helps the clearance totally. There is no fouling or rubbing on turns at all, maybe I've been lucky, even at the rear when I put my 300lbs in the drivers seat. Ha ha
