Here we are again mixing it with the big guys. 500 plus cars of all types on display but only one actual classic 500. Mine. Very well received and many nice comments and photos being taken, makes it all worth it. I think the 1970 Zodiac was suitably upstaged.:slayer:

Funny that, my brother and me had 500s when we were younger and hung round with a group of nouveau rockers. We used to go round in convoys of half a dozen Zephyrs and Zodiacs with the two little 500s at the rear. Wish I could find a pic. Happy days! Nice photo as usual.

Nice photo and glad to see the little bloke out and about.

There are smaller though - but not with four seats and four wheels ...

Chris

The little red and blue ones are Peel P50's aptly named as it has a 50cc engine, so the 500 is a powerful beast in comparison.

As I noted in my first response to you - how do you fit in a 500 with that name :D

Chris

Well you see it's all about the 500 and how capable it really is. Senor Giacosa did his sums well, 4 adults and room to spare. Add in my 280 lbs of prime English beef, (and passengers) and still able to whizz along at 60 mph, no wonder it turns heads and makes so many people smile. (Or are they grinning at me, who cares I'm having fun)?

Took the 500 to work a few weeks ago, and this was the only free spot, I didn't park it there for effect, no sir, not me..... :)

Strangely enough I had loads of the women in the office pestering me - unfortunately only to look at the car.

Since I've had it I've realised this is the ultimate "pulling" car as "its so cuuuuuuuttttte". Haven't mentioned this to my wife of course :)

If I turn up in the TVR I'm that b******d director...........

OK guys - time to tell us about the prettiest girls you've had swooning over.......the car......

I usually get older ladies who used to own one when they were young!!

I did hear from another owner the other week that a woman (who used to own one) approached him to ask if she could 'smell the interior'.

I'm not sure if that's a euphemism for something.

As you may or may not know I'm currently restoring my wifes 500 and the only thing she's bothered about is that it must smell the same inside! It must be a woman thing. I reckon if we could bottle that smell you'd make a killing down the disco
