Just wondering what's the best way to clean the wiring loom?
Most of it's out of the car.

There was a weird alarm or might have been a garage door remote wired in to mine. So I'll have to work out what's not standard at some point and remove.
Cheers

It's one piece so if most of it is out go the extra yard and pull it all out Then you can do a proper job.

I removed the old dry tape in sections, scrubbed the section gently with a rough sponge (you know the green ones)and warm soapy water and then taped that section back up. I did it this way so the loom kept its shape.

When you scrub, you can't help but look at what you are doing so if there are any cracks or chaffed sections you find them.

Clean up the connectors (I have a dremel hobby tool and the wire brushes on that did the job nicely) and make sure the ends are sound and fix them if they are not. Check continuity and you are done.

An enlaged copy of the wiring diagram from the manual will help you track what is what and identify anything new spliced in.

This worked for me and I have had no issues to date.
