Are there any suggestion on where to find tires in the states or that would ship to the states cheaply?

I bought some 145SR12 Yokohama tires from the Tire Rack. But I now think they might be too wide for my 59 Nuova. Do any of the suppliers sell spacers to accomodate wider tires?

Sorry to say but 145x12 tyres are too big unless you modify the arches and look a bit silly on a 500 too.
135x12 or a slim profile 145/70x12 are as large as practicable on standard arches and even those can rub on bumps with passengers.
Spacers don't really help the situation in this case and will probably make the problem worse at the rear.
I have just fitted a set of Formula Cinturato CN55 tyres for my 500 in 125x12 size to replace the terrible Turkish made Ceat tyres I previously had for the last 8 years on my daily driver 500F. The Cinturatos are excellent- original Pirelli pattern and no balance issues (without balancing) grip is great even in the wet (tested tonight!) Only downside is that I can't slide the rear through roundabouts in the dry anymore...

Do any of you have experience with these Shinko brand tires available [ame="http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0043YDN58/ref=dra_a_cs_mr_hn_it_P1400_1000?tag=dradisplay-20&ascsubtag=4a251a2ef9bbf4ccc35f97aba2c9cbda"]Amazon.com: Shinko SR723 White Wall Front Tire - 120/70-12/--: Automotive@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41sMjdwyuVL.@@AMEPARAM@@41sMjdwyuVL[/ame] on Amazon?

I bought my Cinturatos from Axel Gerstl- they shipped to Australia so America shouldn't be a problem?
I wouldn't go anywhere near the Shinkos- they appear to be a Motorcycle or scooter tyre and not suitable for a car. I have actually seen a 500 on these motorbike tyres and it looked very strange - I wouldn't want to try driving it especially in the wet!
Trust me it isn't worth skimping on tyres- I have had my share of spins and near misses in 500's with rubbish tyres, a good set really transforms the car and is an investment in (relative) safety:)
