I'm trying to fit 126's rack and pinion steering in my 500l project but I’m having some difficulties’ in the connection with the OEM's steering column.
Does anyone have done this before? Any photos from a 126BIS from a rack & pinion steering?Thanks in advance.

I used the top half of the 500 column and the bottom half of the 126 one. I inserted one inside the other pinned and welded it .

The original top mounting (below the speedo) is retained but you will also need to make a support/bearing to mount the column to the underside of the panel above your knees about two inches from the top, This will stop the column flapping around.
