Im pretty excited to say that i soon will be adding another fiat to my already existent collection. Besides all the problems, repairs, false promises, large expenses, and overall hatred these cars give you from time to time, at the end of the day theres no better feeling than driving a fiat. especially where you cant even freakin' find em. (excuse my language.)

- after many hours of searching i have found someone who lives in the mid-west, about 12hours from NYC who used to be a Fiat dealership back in the 50's when fiat was very affluent in the United States. After having retired many years ago he still has many fiats left, hence the term fiat graveyard. So my voyage will begin in a few hours so that i can get there at a reasonable time. Maybe ill get another 500? Possible change it up and get a 600? IDK? but i definitely will come home with something! ill definitely keep you guys updated!

cheers.

Any Idea why Fiat got knocked out of the US back n the day?

I came back home the other day from virginia. It Unfortunately was the worst thing that i have ever seen. the seller had lied to me and told me that it was in much better shape. He had posted a picture of the car but it was like from 10years ago.

Sorry that i dont have any pics, but you would definitely laugh really hard if you wouldve seen it.

- this old man who lives in viriginia, and opened a fiat dealership during the 50's and 60's. He was a good friend of Al Constantino who sold Abarth in New YOrk. He told me that he would race with him all the time, and that he would go eat over his house all the time.

- he also raced with Don Yenko, and alot of other famous people. Story has it that about 10 years ago when ebay was getting BIG, and someone from England purchased his racing car that he would race with Al Constantino. It was an extremely rare Abarth Indy Race car 1 of 3. he also had rare Stanguellini's as well. Anyways, it sold on ebay, and the seller paid half then the other half when they picked up that car. The car was already oversees when he had found out that the second check was bad, and that he got scammed out of 15,000.

he sold this extremely rare abarth priceless race car for 30,000 on ebay USD, and only got 15,000.

i think fiat stopped getting popular in the us mainly because of how there werent too many fiat mechanics around, and they do require maintenance from time to time making them hard to work with.

I Always wondered where my 1959 Abarth 1000 came from, it definitely didnt originate from the UK, although RHD and was originally bought from Radbourne Racing in 1964.
