Heres a photo of our 500, it is actually 1972 not 1973 like I said in my other thread.

Just picked up this 1973 Autobianchi Bianchina Giardiniera here in Sicily about a week ago. I'll be bringing it back to the States in November. Trying to stock up on as many parts as I can before we leave. Made some connnections with a few local parts stores that say they'll ship to the States for me. Picked up a new top, front side glass & frames, fuel sensor (found out the old sensor was inoperative in the middle of nowwhere during a thunderstorm), steering wheel and instrument panel (original white), installed some seat-belts for my 11 & 13 YO boys in the back (came with front belts already), and new door straps. All new wiring is scheduled as well as a new fuel pump spacer - it's got a slow oil/gas leak. I'd like to get the brakes done, have the interior restored to original red and maybe have the 499.5 cc engine rebuilt before I leave but not sure if I'll have the time. Sliding rear windows would be nice, but DW has already nick-named it the "Money Pit" so some of that may have to wait until Christmas...and birthday...

Photo in my sig.

I do intend to post some pictures as and when it’s come back from its visit to the machine shop, it’s in for a few bits and peaces that need sorting.

I want to get it set up on a rolling road but I think it will make around the 400 bhp mark so should make for some interesting road action!

Nice looking car. I like the color and the contrast with the snow. The salt sucks but you got to do what you got to do. I think it's great that someone use their car year around. Actually no fun to have a car that you can't use like a car is supposed to be used. But protect it with something underneath and wash of the salt once in a while, That makes it a bit harder for our brown enemy.

Well sorry for delay, now I realise this is not everybody’s cup of tea but I did buy it like it, I was looking for some thing a bit different, it has been built for some years but doesn’t struggle up hills! It runs an 11.4 quarter mile and has a 6600cc v8 small block

Well I'm glad you liked it, I don’t really show it as such, most people get to see the back of it! LOL

I would bring it to a meet in the summer, slightly dependant where it was but glad to in principle.

I have a number of jobs to get finished but do hope to be out and about in the summer, certainly has a very addictive exhaust note.
