I'm being cheeky here as I am running a 126 gearbox in a 500.....the gearbox had already been long separated from the scrapped car by someone else and I have good credentials in that I used to run a BIS back in the '90s..:D
I know I have to avoid EP additives for the benefit of the synchromesh, but I am struggling to find an easy source. :bang:
There seems to be loads of contradictory information about GL4/GL5 and anti-wear additives and whether these have the offending compounds in them. I'm just hoping that someone can recommend an easily available, reasonably priced, retail source for the correct oil.
My best option so far is a special oil made by the US Lucas company which I can easly get locally.
