Master Cylinder-to-reservoir hoses

Hey folks, so I'm working on the master cylinder for a '69 124 and I'm a little confused. There's a pair of rubber hoses that run from the master cylinder reservoir to the master cylinder itself, on the one hand, where can I even find rubber brake hoses without fittings on the ends, and on the other, how am I going to find hoses with a 1/4 inch opening on the one side and a 1-inch opening on the other? the old hoses have completely perished with age, is there a simple solution to this problem? any insight you can give would be helpful.

Hi, rubber hoses from a reservoir to the master cylinder are not under hydraulic pressure and only serve to top up the master cylinder as the brakes wear down. You can use reinforced fuel line pipe and to get over the size difference you can use water plumbing copper reducing fittings. I hope this helps you.

Hi, Welcome to the FF.

The hoses from the reservoir to the master cylinder are single diameter. When it was sold by Fiat, they sold it by the metre.

Odd, I wonder when this one got such a weird setup, the reservoir tank is yellow enough to be stock.
