Hello,

I am looking to sell a 1977 Fiat spider (imported to UK in 95') that's been in my garage for years and years. Its not in very good shape and would require a lot of work. I have the log books etc.... Its white in colour and is convertible.

Looking for a bit of help/ pointed in the right direction as my car knowledge is minimal.

I would like to sell the car but would like to know if its worth getting it into working order before selling or selling as is and what sort of numbers are we talking to aid the decision.

I am based near Glasgow, Scotland.

Cheers

Have a look at the pricing guide in the back of practical classics magazine.
It give three prices depending on the condition of the car.
It sounds like yours needs total restoration.
It's impossible to tell from the information given how much it would cost to get it to pass an MOT.
However if you cannot do the work yourself it is almost certainly not economically sensible to pay someone else to repair it to MOT pass.
The only way you will get a figure is find a restoration garage and invite them to visit you see car and give a quote.
Where was car used before import to UK?
Is it right hand drive?

The most important factor on potential value is condition of the body. If it's straight and not rusted you have a chance that it's worth restoring. If it's crunched or rusted out it's only potential is parts.
