Hello all,

Might be a stupid question. But does anyone know how to get the dang long bolt out of the smog/air pump? The valve is broken and one of the hoses has a hole. So I removed all the other items and plugged the hole. But I tried to get the pump off and I could get the adjustment bolt off and the top bracket, but when I tried to get the bottom longer bolt out after taking the nut off I was unable to. The pulley seems to be in the way. I tried to just take the whole bracket off the block, but the nuts are on very very tight! Any help would be great!

I have no idea if this possible but could you cut the head off the bolt and pull it out from threaded end?
Fit replacement bolt other way around ie nut at pulley end.

Thanks! I am going to see if I can get the pulley bolts loose before I go cutting anything just yet. But my have to resort to that. I am just removing it off the vehicle. So I won't be putting one back on.

I was able to get the pulley bolts loose and then get the pump off. Then I removed the two nuts holding the bracket to the block and bam it was off.
