Hey. I recently obtained a 1981 Fiat 124 Spider 2000 5spd manual. It has an ORIGINAL 900 miles on it, barely been driven.
It was a practically brand new car being shipped on a boat, it was flooded, my dad (in the car business) bought all the spiders on the boat and sold them except for this one. He paid his friend's body shop to fix the minor interior damage (floor, seats). They fixed the floor and didn't finish, stored it under a cover and tarp and it sat for about 5 years. Nobody really paid any attention to it until I was digging around and I found it. I pulled it out and put some gas in it and it ran absolutely perfectly (like a car with less than 1000 miles should) but the rear end made noise because the oil in the differential was old. I pulled it into the shop and told them to finish the job. As far as I know, the rear end is fixed and the car is up on a lift with all the components being inspected ( you can't be too sure). The back seats still need to be reupholstered and maybe new door panels and carpeting.
Well anyways this is a work in progress, but after it is complete I will sell it. If anybody is interested then email me at [email protected] I can guarantee that you won't find a virtually undriven collector's item like this anywhere else.
I live in the Southern California area and please remember that the car is not complete yet. Simply email me with any questions or anything.
