I am looking seriously at getting a Fiat 124, and Fiat seem to be offering a £2500 deposit contribution at every dealer I visit. In comparison to recent times, is this good, or has there been better offers over the winter. I'm thinking if I wait until January, might there be better deals. Would Fiat need a little better incentive for customers to buy an open topped car in Jan?

Fiat deals tend to be split in quarters, though it appears they are revising them in between these days.

I can only imagine the deals vary due to production and demand.
High and low demands on a model or running out older spec cars tend to influence the PCP contributions offered.

Trouble is, you never know what's coming next.
Within days of ordering my 4x4 Panda the contribution doubled!

At the moment, the normal I-Deal £2500 can be bettered but you'd need to quailfy for their Privilege Purchase scheme and then it's £3750.

Also, those I-Deal offers can be quite specific, up the contract mileage and the APR and discounts go haywire!

Police, Fire, Ambulance staff, NHS staff, (Teachers?), BT & M&S staff (and their families) qualify for Privilege, even Aston Villa supporters qualify.

Also British Cycling members qualify and to join them it's £20 or so.

A few other forum users have accessed the deals via this route,

Fiat's other scheme is Affinity, this time for outright sales.
Again, the same qualifications are needed, but at the moment the 124 Spider only gets 5% off.

You'll find price lists here

Though it can be a while before new lists get posted.

Fiat, like Renault doesn't seem to use third parties to run their discount schemes, other manufacturers tend to use specialist brokers.
I picked up a new Suzuki Vitara SZ5 for the Mrs recently with 4.5k off and low rate APR via Motor Source Group, though on looking at their site recently, the offer is now 5k!

First thing you need to do is ask the dealer, not all of them are on the ball with the schemes, but they should clarify the current discounts and if or how to qualify.
